When both spouses agree, a divorce does not have to cost lawyer fees. As an authorized family law service provider, we prepare and file uncontested and joint divorce applications. Roger has completed coursework in family law, basic family negotiation and mediation, and screening for family violence, abuse and power imbalances. Call for details on eligibility.

Licensed immigration consultant (RCIC)

Immigration

Roger is a licensed immigration consultant, authorized to advise on and represent clients in Canadian immigration matters. Immigration paperwork is unforgiving: a missed document or a wrong form can cost months. We prepare the application properly the first time and deal with IRCC on your behalf.

Arbitration and MPAC assessments

Our lead hand is a Certified Arbitrator with, and member of, the ADR Institute of Ontario, with the expertise to arbitrate condominium law disputes as well as most other legal disputes. Arbitration is private, faster than court, and the decision is binding.

For clients who question how their municipal property tax assessment was formulated, we perform an in-depth analysis of current real estate conditions in the immediate area, including recently sold properties with similar attributes, and photograph and measure the property so they can prepare a challenge to MPAC.

Private Security and Investigative Services Act

Private investigator

Roger holds an Ontario private investigator licence under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act. That licence covers the part of a file most people cannot do for themselves: finding out what actually happened, and putting it into a form a court or a tribunal will accept.

Investigation is often what turns a thin case into a winnable one. A witness nobody canvassed. A document nobody pulled. A scene nobody photographed before it changed. We gather it, record it properly, and give you a report you can rely on. The work is available on its own, or alongside a matter we are already running for you.

Notary public in Ontario

Notary public

Roger is a notary public in Ontario. If a document has to be notarised, sworn or certified before anyone will accept it, we can do that. Call and we will arrange a time that suits your schedule, evenings included.

Two things make the appointment go quickly. Bring government-issued photo identification, and do not sign the document beforehand: a notary has to watch the signature happen. If the document is going somewhere outside Ontario, tell us when you call, because it may need a further authentication step after notarisation.
